Absolutely beautiful spot right on the the water, with a host adds all the little extras that made our stay second to none. Very comfortable bed and pillows. Highly recommended.

Idyllic setting. Immaculately clean. Great place to unwind in all seasons. We were very cosy in the middle of winter in the little shack. Awoke to beautiful colors and ducks wandering along the water. A beautiful place.

Salt box is such a sweet little getaway! We had bubbles out around a roaring campfire overlooking the bay at dusk. It was so peaceful! Then at night, the bungalow is super cosy and warm, with a comfy bed. Would recommend it to others, and would go back again!

Michelle's little Salt Box is beautiful, not just for it's waterfront setting & the ready-lit fire pot waiting for our arrival! But also for the small details such as the loaf of bread, the real tea, the hot chocolate WITH marshmallows ... Then there is the duck family who are obviously used to visitors! It is a tiny space but beautifully & thoughtfully created. Just a little slice of heaven really!

We absolutely loved our stay at the Salt Box and were sad to leave! The location was perfect for our three night getaway, the space was so comfortable and have everything we needed. We were surprised how spacious it felt, even on a day where it rained an insane amount. Would highly recommend and cannot wait to return in the future!

What a beautiful part of the world! It was lovely to sit by the fire and enjoy the bay - we even saw a pod of dolphins! The cottage has everything you need.

We had a beautiful stay at Salt Box Hideaway in Strahan, Tasmania in February 2024. The location is blissful, so peaceful and relaxing. The cabin is small but charming and the set up and decor is stylish and exceeded our expectations.

We were sad to leave the Salt Box, it is such a cozy space. We absolutely loved our stay at the Salt Box and were sad to leave! The location was perfect for our three night getaway, the space was so comfortable and have everything we needed. Perfect location Arrived at this idyllic little property, greeted by the resident ducks & babies. The scenery was fabulous. The host left several things for us to enjoy. A big thank you.. Very comfortable bed. The little village has a fabulous cruise you can go on and a great little play you can watch. Would highly recommend both. There is also lovely places to eat. The host was easy to contact. We would highly recommend this property.

Cute and cozy! This was our cutest stay in Tassie! The ducks waking you up in the morning are so cute. The location was amazing with how close it is to town and the fire pit in front was a favourite!

My new happy place <3 Salt Box Hideaway was an amazing little retreat for myself and my partner. We spent only 2 nights there, and wish it could've been longer. Staying out of season meant we got to experience the quiet and rainy side of Strahan. The Hideaway isn't far from the IGA in town, and the Tracks Cafe was a great place for coffee and lunch. Inside was incredibly cozy, the bed was nice and comfy, and the kitchen was really well stocked with condiments etc. The location is the little hideaways selling point. The rain cleared on our last morning and it was absolutely breath taking. There are also some little duck friends that will probably come and visit!

A lovely place for a getaway from the hustle and bustle of city life. It’s still relatively close to Strahan city and getting supplies ain’t too difficult. The kitchen was well-stocked and honestly cooking in and chilling by the sofa is the best. Be ready to greet the ducks when you wake in the morning!

Michelle's lovely hideaway was gorgeous. The bed was very comfy and the surrounds were delightful, right down to the friendly ducks who loved to visit us while we sat on the deck. Would definitely recommend staying here.
